On Tuesday I decided to walk between the Victoria and Cobham bridges. I have walked this several times and it is quite a distance, but having walked quite a bit recently I felt fit and up to the task.
I did the walk alone as Jill was working in her volunteer job all day, so I went prepared, taking food, drink, a camera, jacket in case of rain, a sun hat and covered myself in sunscreen before starting. It was a pleasant summer's day.
I really enjoyed the expedition, taking it easy and stopping twice to take refreshments. With the two breaks, and stopping to take over 80 photos, the journey took me two hours. I hope to have enough photos for two more blogs, so I hope you enjoy them.

beautiful summer shots!!
So you are going to post 40 photos in each of the next two posts? Just kidding. It looks so pastoral where you live. And, of course, the season makes me jealous.
Oooohh!! Summer! ♥
What a lovely day and photos. They are so vibrant and clean. Enjoyed my walk with you.
Absolutely beautiful.Makes me proud to be a Hamiltonian.
That was refreshingly lovely. We are deep into winter, with snow on the ground.
Ruby, thank you.
Tabor, yes, we do live in a pastoral area. Our farms run dairy cows which is the main activity, some dry cattle and race horses.
Pen, yes, summer. Nice huh?

Great photos, it looks like a wonderful place to ride/walk/take photos.
Fi, I know the feeling. It's nice to see the sun in winter.
Hilary, thanks. I miss summer during the bleak winter too.
POS, thank you. I always like being beside the Waikato river, or water of any sort - Dave
These are so beautiful to look at when we are in the dead of winter. And when you said you had taken 80 shots my first thought was, "Aren't we fortunate to have digital cameras available now -- so that we can take as many shots as we like without worrying about running out of film! :)
just lovely. thanks for taking us along!
Sandra, thank you. Yes, the digita; camera has made photography within everyone's means.
