Waitakaruru Arboretum and Sculpture Park
This Park is located about 20 km outside ot Hamilton near a small country settlement called Tauwhare, or more precisely, Scottsman's Valley. It has been developed around a now-unused quarry, and has several small lakes, and wide variety of trees of many kinds, and sculptures are supplied and placed on display by a variety of sculptors and are available for sale if desired.

This slide-show above shows only a small number of the many varieties of sculptures available, some small and some much larger. One needs to understand the art of sculpture to get the most benefit from a visit here.

My next blog will show more of the park and other sculpture works here.

The sculptures look fascinating. I've never been there - I'll have to go when I return to the Waikato for a visit.

Hi Dave,

it seemed a very nice park and nice that you give an impression of the images and sculptures that you can buy there.

Greetings, Helma
