Waikato Royal Show
Last weekend I visited the Waikato Royal Show, what we used to call the Summer Show. It features farming and city life combined. There are horse events, dog trials, hand craft competitions, wood chopping, pet show competitions and a variety of other activities.
Here are some of the animals on display for adults children to pet and get close to. I thought it was a good idea.

Welcome back.. Great video!!
Sounds like fun!
My grandchildren love getting close to animals like these. They are city dwellers, so this is a treat.
Ruby, thanks. Glad to be back!
Fi, Yes. I enjoyed it.
Tabor, yes, city kids who love animals enjoy getting close to them - Dave
are you in the region where the say " where Hamilton ____ votes, that who the Govt will be?"
I won't ask you who you vote. but I will tell you I like the under dog.
I love these types of things, this one looks to have been a great day out. We have quite a few similar shows over here, since there is a strong farming community on the isle. One year I got bitten by a FERRET (shudder), darn guy who owned them claimed they were tame to hold..!
Dave, that's so cool! I love animals and that sounds like a great event. Glad you are back!
Ann, yes, that is my electoral district. Glad my vote is influetial!
Carol, that sounds interesting. What Isle do you live on? Ouch about the ferrit bite!
Karen, thanks. Good to be on line again.I love animals too. - Dave
Watching the "Waikato Royal Show," I was thinking that these things I have never seen up close in real life, but my mother and her sisters and brothers grew up on a farm right here in Jackson TN, and these things was their everyday life, the way they lived, having all kinds of animals on their farm. Too bad a lot of us don't even know about this kind of life, until we go to a show like this. Thanks for the pictures Dave.
Hi Cynthia. Thanks - Dave
Hello Dave,
what fun it is okay in this movie to see in real life. I really enjoyed. Thank you.
Greetings, Helma
Helma, thank you - Dave
