These photos were taken during my day out exploring my city. Alfresco drinking and dining has become an accepted thing here now for two reasons - first, because the main street footpaths have been widened, and second, because by law people are no longer allowed to smoke inside a building. It looks good anyway and many people like to sit outside while dining. I guess it also helps to advertise and attract customers to the businesses concerned.

Alfresco dining isn't my kind of thing, unless the sun is really hot.
Ann, I feel the same - prefer it warm - Dave
You sure do live in a beautiful place - so open, clean and with lots of trees dotted around the city - and if the weather is clement, I would LOVE to dine out there alfresco, your photographs are gorgeous!
What a fabulous city! I would have a blast exploring it all! Thanks for sharing :)
Very nice pictures Dave, and yes ... here you should not smoke in restaurants or cafes. I myself quit smoking so do not mind that.
Your photos of water I also very nice and gives a summery feeling :-)
Greetings, Helma
I love to eat outside. Here we have lots, of course, right on the beaches. I like the library's slogan, too. Thanks for the tour.
Food always seem to taste a little bit better when you eat it outdoors. Hugs!
I found you at your main blog! I love the ice rink, I play every hockey every Thursday night. I agree with the majority, eat outside whenever possible. However, being in Northern Wisconsin dining outside is a challenge 4 months of the year if not 5!
Oh, what a great day out!
Shrinky, thanks. me too.
Maggie, thanks. Yes, it's a pass-time huh?
Helma, thanks. I gave up smoking some time ago too. Glad you liked the water views.
Karen, sounds like you have a lovely warm area. You are in Florida?
Kathie, yes, perhaps it does?
Fi, yes, it was enjoyable - Dave
Great Photos! I love oldies day outs. I guess that's because I'm an oldie?
God Bless and have a Wonderful Week :-)
